Chemicals Risk Assessment

RPA has prepared targeted risk assessments (using the Technical Guidance Document and the EUSES software) on certain uses of cadmium, mercury and organotins for the European Commission, as well as a more general assessment of the risks associated with non-surfactant chemicals in detergents.  We also assisted BRE prepare the UK environmental evaluation report for perfluorooctane sulphonate (PFOS).

For many years, RPA has co-ordinated the UK Environment Agency's Expert Peer Review Group which reviews draft risk assessments (and associated documents) prepared for/by the Agency.

This direct experience of chemicals risk assessment also contributes to the review of risk assessments prepared by others when undertaking risk managment studies.
