REACH Consultants Network
The EU REACH consultant network has been formed to offer various services to support enterprises, individually or via branch organisations, with their preparations for REACH. The core members, in addition to RPA, are:
Ökopol GmbH - Germany
Ökopol GmbH provides consulting services to public and private clients. Apart from work on REACH, Ökopol is active in waste management, integrated product policy and installation-related legislation.
UMCO - Germany
UMCO provides services within the entire supply chain with special focus on legal, technical and organisational requirements in relation to chemicals, UMCO also works with chemical product services and HSE issues as well as dangerous goods
DHI – Denmark
DHI is an independent international consulting and research organisation. DHI’s chemicals’ units provide technical consulting and services related to environmental and human hazard or risk assessment, exposure modelling and ecotoxicogical laboratory testing.
NCEC - UK
The NCEC specialises in providing emergency response and chemical safety products and services. The NCEC provides commercial services to the chemical industry and governments around the world, including consultancy in many areas and on REACH in particular.
A Practical Guide to REACH Compliance
One day Seminar and Workshop
On 20 September 2007, 53 delegates from the EU and the Far East joined representatives of the REACH Consultants Network at the Forest of Arden Hotel (in the West Midlands) for an informative day of seminars and workshops. The seminar speakers and workshop hosts, all of whom have helped to produce the official EU REACH guidance documents, shared their intimate knowledge of the regulation and the intricacies of its interpretation. Delegates learned about the requirements of REACH and were helped to get to grips with the practicalities of ensuring their company’s compliance with this particularly complicated regulation. Feedback following this event repeatedly praised the competence of the speakers and the amount of time available for the exploration of individual REACH concerns and experiences.
