Policy
Much of RPA’s work for the European Commission and for national Governments such as the UK, focuses particularly on analysing the current or potential economic, environmental and social impacts of various policy changes. RPA is experienced in the application of evaluation theory, techniques and tools, in analysing the activities, policies and programmes of international institutions. Such work has been undertaken for the European Commission, the European Joint Research Council (JRC) and the OECD.
In these studies, we have:
- evaluated the ability and effectiveness
of the legislation to achieve its objectives;
- assessed the results
attributable to the legislation and the associated costs and benefits;
- analysed the relevance, utility and sustainability of the legislation
in view of changing geographical, economic, technological and regulatory
environments; and
- formulated recommendations on how the legislation (or policy) could be improved in terms of efficiency and effectiveness.
