RPA Study on behalf of the European Chemicals Agency
To Support the Preparation of an Annex XV Dossier on the Use of Cadmium and its Compounds in Certain Plastics
The use of cadmium and its compounds is strictly regulated within the European Union. The European Commission has recently requested the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) to prepare an Annex XV dossier to consider whether the use of cadmium compounds in certain plastics should be subject to further restrictions.
Risk & Policy Analysts (RPA) has been contracted by ECHA to collect and provide relevant information on the markets, uses, releases of, and alternatives for this use of cadmium and its compounds (read/download a confirmatory letter from ECHA).
We would be very grateful if stakeholders with an interest in the manufacture, import and use of products which might be affected by these restrictions would consider the questionnaires shown below. The deadline for collecting information is 31 January 2013. Completed questionnaires should be returned by email using the contact details provided in the questionnaire.
