Teresa Fenn, a Senior Consultant with RPA, has degrees in Geology, and Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (Hydrogeology and Groundwater Chemistry). She has worked on a wide range of projects involving the application and development of economic appraisal techniques and environmental valuation methods for benefits assessment. This has included drafting and applying appraisal methodologies for the 2004 Water Company Periodic Review, Catchment Abstraction Management Strategies, Heavily Modified Water Bodies, flood defence strategies and schemes, river restoration and water quality improvements, low flow alleviation and treatment of minewater discharges. She has been involved in the economic assessment of many flood and coastal projects using cost-benefit and multi-criteria analysis techniques. Recent projects include identifying the preferred economic options for managing flood risk in the Humber and Thames Estuaries, economic assessment for the Dublin Bay Case study for the Irish Coastal Strategy, a review of appraisal guidance for Defra.
